We are a young family business founded by women and the majority of our employees are also women. Therefore, it is important to us to strengthen the rights of women and to make life more beautiful and easier for all of us.
Since 2013, we have therefore not only been developing refrigerated textiles but have also been involved in the UN Global Compact, a United Nations (UN) initiative that, in addition to sustainability, human rights and environmental issues, works together with UN Women to promote the rights of women around the world. We therefore ensure fair and sustainable conditions in all our processes. This starts with us in the company through an open corporate culture and communication policy, flat hierarchies, and measures for environmental protection and the advancement of women. We develop and produce exclusively in Germany and Europe, because we want to control how our products are made. This costs a little more but it is worth it to us.
We can’t save the whole world right away with our products. But by developing our cooling textiles, we can contribute a little to feeling good and living healthier. SlimCOOL should also contribute to this. From women for women!

THE WORLD’S FIRST CLIMATE-NEUTRAL TEXTILE COMPANY
Our environment is important to us. For us and for our children. That’s why we support the UN Global Compact, the United Nations “caring for climate” initiative and the World Forest Climate Initiative from the Senate of the Economy. These are working at a very high level with politicians and business to protect the environment and stop climate change.
But that’s not the end of the story. We start with ourselves. Through a variety of measures, we have reduced electricity consumption at our headquarters in Ulm. We have also commissioned the climate partner agency to analyze our company and define suitable measures to ensure that pervormance international and its refrigerated textiles are climate neutral. This means that all users can use our products for cooling in a wide variety of areas without leaving a carbon footprint.
Since 2013, we have thus been the world’s first climate-neutral textile company.

Shortly after the award of the “Landmark in the Land of Ideas” by the German President, we were appointed to the Senate of Business.
This is made up of personalities from business, science and culture who are committed to the common good. The Senate’s goals are fair and sustainable business and an eco-social market economy. It regularly engages in intensive communication with political decision-makers, with the emphasis on advice on decision-making processes from experienced experts.
In this way, the Senate aims to support politics with the experience of business and the knowledge of researchers.
This is done independently of political parties and detached from the particular interests of individual companies or sectors. The Senate is represented by Prof. Dr. Dr. Radermacher, who also enjoys an excellent international reputation as a member of the Club of Rome.
Internationally, the Senate is represented by the Global Economic Network. Honorary President of GEN is Prof. Muhammad Yunus, founder and head of the Grameen Bank and Nobel Peace Prize winner from Bangladesh.

The TRILLION TREE Campaign
WE SUPPORT PLANT-FOR-THE-PLANET
pervormance international is part of the Trillion Tree Campaign, the most ambitious and largest reforestation project in human history. Together with the founder Felix Finkbeiner, the children of Plant-For-The-Planet and the patron HSH Prince Albert of Monaco, we are committed to achieving the climate goals of the United Nations.
TOGETHER FOR A BETTER CLIMATE
OUR TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN
Together with Plant-for-the-Planet, the unw, the company Trivis and the Volksbank Ulm as well as the city of Ulm, we have started a climate initiative. It all started in 2009 with a school presentation by Felix Finkbeiner, who was 9 years old at the time. Today, Plant-for-the-Planet is a global children’s and youth organization that has already planted 15 billion trees around the world with 67,000 children to stop climate change. On May 22, 2018, Felix received the Federal Cross of Merit for this achievement. Prince Albert of Monaco is patron and many scientists such as Prof. Dr. Dr. Radermacher from Ulm but also celebrities such as Harrison Ford or Gisele Bündchen, Til Schweiger or Peter Maffay support the organization.
WHY DO WE PLANT TREES?
March 9, 2018 was the launch event of the “Trillion Trees Campaign” of the youth organization Plant-for-the-Planet in Monaco, which aims to plant 1,000 billion trees to reach the 2° target. We were there.
WHAT HAS ULM TO DO WITH IT?
Climate change is heating up the atmosphere and if we don’t manage to reach the 2° target, the earth won’t be what it used to be for our children. That’s why we’re joining in. You too can help to keep the earth livable.
WHAT EVERYONE CAN DO
The average CO2 emission of a German is 12 t/year. To compensate for that, 24 trees are needed. So: Plant trees. When you buy SlimCOOL products, you can order a free tree voucher through us. That’s already a start.

Simply order your tree voucher free of charge with every order – we will plant for you. Of course, this is just a start. Of course we also want to motivate you to make yourself, your partners, friends or family climate neutral and thus do something for the environment. Each person should plant 24 trees a year to make himself climate neutral. According to the calculation of scientists, we need to plant one trillion trees to reach the climate goal. That would be 150 trees per person. The free planting areas have already been identified by plant-for-the-planet. We are on it. Now it’s up to you. Join in!
